As chair of the club, I am proud to have an amazing team of volunteers to support the local community and their dogs
This last year saw our second season of races within the local community and we welcomed both beginner and experienced racers to some amazing venues.
I look forward to working with the team to continue to develop a community based club with the membership at its core.

I believe in the positive effect of sport on mental health. Canicross has built my confidence, being a committee member means I can give back to this sport which has changed my life
Recent Projects
We are proud to be more than just a canicross club in Nottinghamshire - we're a community making an impact both on and off the trails. From supporting local charities to developing the next generation of athletes, our recent projects reflect our commitment to growing canicross, bikejor and dog-powered sports at grass roots.

SUPPORTING LOCAL DOG CHARITIES
We're delighted to have recently made charitable contributions to Lost Dogs Tracking Notts, helping to support their incredible work reuniting lost dogs with their owners and promoting responsible dog ownership. As a club built around the bond between humans and dogs, giving back to local dog-focused causes is at the heart of what we do.

INVESTING IN FUTURE TALENT
The club is passionate about nurturing young athletes within the sport and recently provided funding support for two local junior competitors, helping them access training, equipment or race opportunities. Their dedication has already led to impressive performances at National and international level sled-dog sport events, showcasing the strength of talent emerging from Nottinghamshire.

ORGANISING RACES
As a club, we have organised multiple races since our commencement and this year saw a wonderful range of courses and venues being attended by athletes from all across the midlands and the wider canicross and dog sport community of the UK. Our Sherwood Outpaw runs and events feature opportunities for all level of athlete to participate.

Recently he has been the cornerstone for our races, organising timing, resources and contracts.
A true community contributer.

I love being part of the club and making things happen. I never thought I'd be canicrossing but I enjoy getting out, meeting new people and their dogs. I'm a big believer in keeping dogs active as it's so important for their mental and physical health as well as our own. I want to encourage others to do the same.

We are very proud to be part of a group who has the capacity to influence the direction of the club and Canicross, implement new ideas, and improve things for members.
